Meridian Medical Centre

We are centrally-located in Dunedin, within the central shopping area.  We are jointly owned by Dr Jan Cottle and South Link Health Services and are part of a supportive, nationwide network of 23 general practices.

Our Team

We are a high-performing, well-resourced team who work hard for our patients and each other and enjoy the roles we all play in primary health.  We have an excellent collegial working environment, well supported by our fantastic nursing team and administration team.  We are very fortunate to have 4 GPs, a Practice Nurse Manager, 3 Practice Nurses, a Health Improvement Manager, Health Coach, Admin Lead, 4 Medical Receptionists and a Practice Manager.  

Two of our GPs are Fellows and we are a Teaching Practice.

Our Patients

We have over 6,000 registered patients. 

We are committed to equity, inclusivity and cultural competency.  Our team participates in Te Tiriti o Waitangi, Privacy and Child Safety, cultural competency and Rainbow Awareness and Inclusion training.

Staff and Training

We conduct full inductions onsite for all new staff members and provide ongoing training to keep up to date with regulations.  We have weekly full team meetings.

About Us

We are open Monday to Friday and operate morning and afternoon sessions.  Each session has twelve 15-minute patient appointments. 

We use the latest version of cloud-based Medtech Evolution as our Patient Management System, and we have Manage My Health, so patients can look at their results, book appointments and order repeat prescriptions. 

We have a Dunedin-based South Link Health IT team who are supportive and knowledgeable and assist whenever we encounter issues.

We have strong collegial relations with primary and secondary services, as well as pharmacy and allied health.  

We are Foundation-accredited.
